NewsCove (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that are properly reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.
This page outlines the policy and procedure for submitting a notice of alleged copyright infringement.
1. Introduction to Our DMCA Policy
This policy is intended to implement the procedures for reporting copyright infringement pursuant to the DMCA. If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content hosted on our website, newscove.co.uk (the “Site”), infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the information outlined below.
2. How to File a Copyright Infringement Notification

- A Statement of Good Faith Belief: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A Statement of Accuracy: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Your Signature: A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
3. Submitting Your DMCA Notice

4. Our Response to a DMCA Notice
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, NewsCove will take whatever action it deems appropriate in its sole discretion, including:
- Removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material.
- Notifying the user who posted the content that we have removed or disabled access to the material.
- In the case of repeat infringers, we may terminate the user’s access to our services.
5. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that your material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. To be effective, a counter-notification must be a written communication that includes the following:
- Identification of the Removed Material: Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A Statement Under Penalty of Perjury: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
- Your Contact Information: Your name, address, and telephone number.
- Consent to Jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the United Kingdom if your address is outside of the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification or an agent of such person.
- Your Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may reinstate the content in question.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, NewsCove has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
